POLARIS - WLADIMIR MERARD
Wladimir joined the fraternity as a member of Delta Gamma Chapter (Buffalo State University) in 2001.
He has served as graduate chapter Polaris (Alpha Epsilon Omega 2x) and advisor of undergraduate chapters at Shaw University and St. Augustine’s University.
Professionally, Wladimir is a Quality Engineering Supervisor at Corning, Inc.
VICE-POLARIS - THOMAS (TOMMY) GRAVES
Tommy joined the fraternity as a member of Iota Chapter (Elizabeth City State University) in 1976. He is a Charter Member of Alpha Epsilon Omega Chapter. Tommy was the 1st Chapter Vice-Polaris and is now serving his second stint as VP.
In addition to his Vice-Polaris duties, Tommy is a board member and chapter representative of the Greater Raleigh NPHC. Tommy served as the Regional Director of the Southeast Region (now apart of the Eastern Region) from 1994-2000. He also has a son (Reginald Graves) who is a member of Alpha Epsilon Omega Chapter.
Tommy is a proud U.S. Army Veteran.
Professionally, Tommy is an Insurance Agent at AAA.
SECRETARY - KIBWE (KG) MUDIWA
KG joined the fraternity through Upsilon Chapter (Southern Illinois University - Carbondale) in 1978. He is a Charter Member of Alpha Epsilon Omega Chapter. KG was the 1st chapter Treasurer and has served in a number of positions within the chapter over the years.
Along with his secretary duties, KG is the chapter representative to the Durham/Orange NPHC.
KG is a member of several civic organizations and a past winner of the Durham Public Schools Teacher of the Year Award. He is also a proud U.S. Army Veteran.
Professionally, KG is a Medical Support Assistant, Imaging at Durham VA Health Care.
TREASURER - DEREK BARTEE
Derek joined the fraternity as a Charter Member of Delta Lambda Chapter (University of Virginia) in 1999.
Along with his Treasurer duties, Derek is the webmaster and social media coordinator and the backup chapter representative for the Durham/Orange NPHC. He has served as the Chapter Polaris for the Central VA Graduate Colony (now Beta Gamma Omega Chapter), Vice-Polaris and Treasurer (2x) of Alpha Epsilon Omega Chapter, and both the International Director of Community Service (2001-2005) and the 1st International Director of Training & Development (2008) of Iota Phi Theta®.
Professionally, Derek is both a Revenue Cycle Analyst with UNC Health and an Associate Minister at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church.
